I’ve just found out that there is a US state called Tex-as, named after me surely? I’m not sure why they put the ‘as’ on, maybe it’s just an Americanism.
So how do I know, well my dad has been there. For the last week and a half to be precise! Yes he went away and left us for 10 whole days. But he’s back now and I am glad because
a) I was getting a bit bored of mum’s conversation
b) He brought me a present when he came home – in fact it’s a Zoovenir of Tex-as
And here he is
Now he was given strict instructions that no presents were necessary (not by me I should add). That directive came from mum who seems to think I have enough stuff already (er…hello…how outrageous).
Anyway dad ignored that and brought me back one of the things Tex-as is known for…a steak 🙂 Apparently that’s what it can become but for now it seems to have not only its fur still on but a hoodie as well. Now I have never seen a UK cow wearing hoodie but maybe they do things differently in Tex-as.
So, I’m not complaining. I think I’d quite like a steak and I rather like my cow (I guess I have to wait until it turns into steak – I’m just not sure how long that takes). In the meantime I am bonding with my new American pal, who I have named Hank. I am not totally sure about the hoodie look. He may have to lose that quite soon, but that’s one less layer to get through I suppose. Anyway in the meantime we can play…
I should say that, on this occasion, I was not the only one who got a present. I know some of my readers have been concerned about the lack of presents for mum. Rest assure on this occasion she did not go without.
I have to go now, I want to do some more bonding with my cow. I’m not so sure the cow wants to bond with me! Maybe I’ll pop on a hoodie so he feels at home. (actually no, I’m quite freaked out at even the thought of wearing a hoodie – he’ll just have to take me as he finds me).
