The boring life of dogs

I don’t know about The Secret Lives of Dogs, I don’t have a secret life, in fact I don’t have much of a life at all. It is indeed the boring month of February and I am frankly doing nothing worth writing about! However I didn’t want you to think I had forgotten my readers so I thought I would do a quick post.

Did you see the secret lives of dogs? How many of you dog owners immediately decided to see if your pooch was right or left pawed? There I was, happily lazing in front of the fire, when that little gem came on the telly. Next thing it’s ‘Tex – wake up, Tex – sit, Tex –come’ talk about confused. I’m not sure what mum was trying to prove and I was very sure there wasn’t much in it for me (no treats that is). Anyway after a few attempts mum seemed happy to declare me right pawed and let me go back to sleep!

So I must have done something since I last wrote…

  • I have been on some walks and got very, very muddy
  • As a result I have had a lot of garden showers and I am very stoic about it (stoic – that’s a good word for a dog)
  • I did go out on Guide Dogs collection which went very well I’m pleased to say – the good folks of Twyford were very generous
  • I have had several sleeps (several, several sleeps – I like sleeping!)

Apart from that, as you can probably tell, life is quiet! So with little to tell I’ll keep my post short but I’ll leave you with a little picture of me ‘chilaxing’ in my nest earlier today. After all what else can a dog do in a chilly February??

Hope you are keeping well and warm dear reader.

Love

Tex
